White Mountains of Arizona

We came to the White Mountains of Arizona June 15 and plan to stay to August 15 or later, so far it has been a spectacular experience; it's a beautiful mountain range, very comfortable temps in June and July, few biting bugs, and as of July 27 we've photo'd 117 species of butterflies, 35 of which are new to us! This truly is one of the nation's great butterfly areas so if you plan an extended stay here we recommend mid-May to mid-September but any time period within this will be very productive.
