Brady Michael Miller was born February 13, 2007
at 7:38 pm and was 7 lbs. 8 oz., 20 inches long
Brady surprised Shelley at 4:30 am February 13th when she went into labor two weeks early. The labor was light and irregular so she didn't suspect anything until early afternoon. When she went to see her nurse practitioner, they discovered her water had broken and she was going to have this baby. She was immediately scheduled for a C-section and was ordered to the hospital from the doctor's office. Husband Todd was informed and he jumped in his car and raced across the Imperial Valley from San Diego and arrived 30 minutes before the birth...

His lungs are healthy...
...and he's hungry! During his first physical exam, he started sucking his fingers so before giving him his first bath, the nurse decided to take him to see Shelley to see if he wanted to feed.
Look at that head of hair! Todd said he's going to give him a flat-top as soon as has he gets home <g>
He certainly was hungry, in the recovery room he fed for 30 minutes!

Brady had a bit of jaundice and had to spend some time under special lights
His eyes were protected and he wore a diaper
It's sort of like a tanning booth
The light has helped him and we hope he won't need this therapy again

Lauren really loves her baby brother and wants to participate in the care giving. Todd, Grandpa Mike and Grandma Kim have made sure that Lauren gets extra attention during the adjustment period after the new baby is introduced into the family.
